Join us as we raise money to fund our new book, Uniting a Continent, and continue to spread knowledge about Africa with our Indiegogo campaign!
Ubuntu is a Zulu word, meaning one must know the “other” to know oneself. All our fates are tightly bound, whether the other is across the street or across the world. We belong to each other, therefore, we must know each other.
African narratives are reinforced in popular and academic cultures, portraying Africa as
“The Dark Continent,” a place of wildlife and horror. These limited narratives cannot tell the whole story of this rich and diverse continent.
With our latest book, Uniting a Continent, Tsehai Publishers continues to dispel the dark myths cast over Africa. This book is the first of its kind, as it showcases the founding of the Organization of African Unity (OAU) and exemplifies the rich and unique cultural heritage of each African nation. We believe this book contributes to the telling of a necessary story, for we cannot understand and plan for Africa’s future unless we appreciate the challenges and triumphs of the continent.
Releasing this book now is crucial, as May 25th marks the end of the 50th Anniversary of the OAU. As we move into the 51st year, we ask you to join us in solidifying this historic moment by helping us publish this book.
Embrace ubuntu, join us in our mission, and donate today!
